1.)  What flashlights are the Malkoff Devices Dropin bulb assemblies compatible with?
Malkoff Devices manufactures models to fit 2, 3 and 4  C-cell Maglite® flashlights, 2, 3 and 4  D-cell Maglite®,flashlights, however the host Maglite must have a "C" or "D" as the first character in the serial number.

Other Malkoff Device Dropin models may be used in the SureFire® 6P, 6Z, M2 and G2 models.

It is also compatible with Surefire's 3-cell counterpart in these models only with the primary batteries (not rechargeable batteries due to an increase of voltage with these batteries).

The Drop-in is compatible with other models, however we have not tested it for fit and do not guarantee operability in other models. Feel free to contact us for a list of models our users have stated the Dropins are compatible in.

2. How sturdy is the LED modification?
We understand that flashlights are used in a variety of circumstances and often under adverse conditions, therefore we have developed our Dropins for rough service, however, caution should be exercised during installation as the LED itself is fragile. Do not touch the LED and clean only with isopropyl alcohol.

3. How easy is it to replace my Maglite® or Surefire® bulb with a Malkoff Device Dropin?
Very simple! First remove the head from the light.
Remove the lens from the head, and replace the reflector with a cutoff reflector. (You can cut your own reflector or order one from us.)
Remove the retaining ring and bulb from the light.
Center the Dropin (LED pointed up) in the body tube and push it straight in and tighten the wedging screw. Replace the flashlight's head.  Twisting the head in or out is used to focus the light.

The Surefire flashlight is even easier. Simply replace the stock bulb with our Dropin.

4. What is the Malkoff Guarantee?
Our commitment is straight forward and simple. The flashlight LED drop-ins were designed and are built by Malkoff Devices, Inc. We stand behind the quality of these lights 100%. If you are not satisfied with the performance of our products for any reason, simply return the item(s) to us within 30 days and your purchase price will be refunded.

5. Why are our products "sold out" so much?
Every Dropin is individually hand-made and tested to insure it meets a very tight quality control measure. At the same time, our Dropin has become extremely popular much faster than anticipated. In 2008 we are planning an expansion that will enable us to meet the demand for our Dropins while maintaining the quality control. Thank you for helping us grow!
